well hiking over the mount is a good choise but the weather and the risky footing

the pass easy to move through but the stone monsters might be a bit hard to defeat

No, I want you to construct the game like that, it's more fun and gives me better things to write.

Kryal made a huge leap into the cave, pulling his bow out in mid-air. Before he had even hit the ground, his light arrow was fling through the cave. It illuminated the whole cavern to reveal blinded Goblins panicking about. Spine chilling shrieks emitted from all around the cave. Now that the Goblins were temporarily stunned, the whole team ran in. Orcá wielded his sword like a true warrior, slashing any Goblins who dared challenge him to pieces. Bigchoppa decided to wave his Choppa around, slamming and slicing through Goblins. McGill managed to get to a part mostly full of Goblins. He hewed his way throught them, unchallenged. Kryal had drawn his Elven Blade a gracefully swung it around in an incredibly accurate fashion. Within seconds Goblin corpses covered the floor, their black blood dripping all over the cave. The group grabbed all of the vegetables and meat they could get their hands on. They also took some trinkets from a few of the corpses. The group emerged into the daylight, victorious.
They started to hike up again when a horn blow echoed around. A single Goblin was on an opposite mountain blowing this horn, he was warning any nearby friends! Kryal tried to send some arrows across but the winds blew them away. That was the horn of battle, and soon there would be a horde of enemies. They proceeded very swiftly up the mountain, sometimes carelessly. Soon they reached the summit. From that vantage-point a troop of Goblins could be seen in pursuit. Still tired from the last battle, they ran on. The way down wasn't as hard as going up, though it was more treacherous. Within a day they reached the foot of the mountain. But they weren't alone. The Goblins had caught up and weren't happy. They were still too faraway to see you, but the group is all too weary to run. So they decided to prepare for another battle.
There are some bushed nearby and a small-ish tree. There are also lots of stones.

I want you to engineer how your character will fight this. Use teamwork, so take into account what others are saying. Because you hiked the mountan you lost two days you would've saved from taking the path, you will lose another no matter what you do, you are too tired to proceed much further. You'll have to set up camp after this battle. If you fight this badly you'll be injured and will lose another day, or even a weapon!
A riot has started in the Porton region and the King expects you to control it! If you're late you have failed. Try not to tire yourselves too much during battle or you'll never get there..

Do we use an RPG style? like picking a move, or a passage?

Well, be as artistic as possible. It's not like a turn based RPG.

For example, I could say (as you):

"I stand my ground, with my axe drawn. If an enemy starts to get near I'll swing forward."

Or as Kryal:

"I duck into a bush with my bow drawn, I take shots at the heads of any enemies I can get. When they get close, I leap out with my blade."

I shall collect the stones and hide behind the bushes waiting to ambush them. (we should lob the stones at the goblins) and maybe arc should climb up the tree and fire arrows from there. We should wait for them to come to us i think.

OK I will Throw my axes to help aid Orcas barrage from afar, but i shall charge in melee before them.

I'll be sniping, as the Light arrows have a recharge time. For proof, see OoT. So it looks like I'll take up temporary leader. I'll make traps like an arrow string trap.
